Le Fling (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates lefling.com, a monthly jewelry membership with an optional purchase benefit. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Email address, when you join the waitlist or start a membership
- Invite code, when you submit one
- Name, shipping address, and phone number, when you sign up for a membership
- Identity verification results, when required for higher tiers, rentals, or where we reasonably suspect fraud. The government-issued ID and selfie you submit go directly to Stripe Identity; Le Fling receives only the verified or not-verified outcome, not the ID images or biometric data.
- Payment information, processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs
- Cookies and similar technologies
How We Use Your Information
- Fulfill membership orders and manage your account
- Process payments and recurring membership billing
- Verify your identity for KYC compliance
- Send transactional messages (welcome, order and pick confirmations, shipping, billing, and swap updates)
- Send optional marketing messages, which you can opt out of anytime
- Maintain a waitlist and send launch and availability updates
- Improve our website and services
- Prevent fraud and enforce our terms
Service Providers
We share information with the following providers, solely to operate our business:
- Stripe: payment processing and recurring billing
- Neon: database hosting for account and order data
- Vercel: website hosting and site analytics
- Resend: transactional email (sign-in codes, receipts, shipping and account notices)
- Klaviyo: waitlist and marketing email
- Shipping carriers: delivery and tracking
- Identity verification provider: KYC compliance for higher tiers
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep the site functioning and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work properly.
Data Retention
- Waitlist emails: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
- Member account data: retained for the duration of membership plus 3 years, for legal and tax compliance
- Identity documents (government ID and selfie, including biometric data): collected and stored by Stripe Identity under Stripe’s own retention schedule. Le Fling does not receive or store these images; we keep only the pass or fail result.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing under the CCPA. Residents of other states with comparable privacy laws have similar rights. To make a request, email hello@lefling.com.
We honor recognized browser opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit. Payment information is handled by PCI-compliant processors. Government IDs are encrypted at rest and access-restricted.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to active members and waitlist subscribers.
