These policies summarize how Le Fling memberships are approved, serviced, and enforced. Le Fling is a monthly jewelry membership with an optional purchase benefit. These summaries work together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1) Eligibility and KYC Policy
- Members must be at least 18 and a resident of the continental United States.
- A valid credit or debit card and a phone number are required at signup.
- We may require additional identity verification, including a government-issued photo ID, before your first shipment, for higher tiers, or where we reasonably suspect fraud.
- Accounts that fail verification can be declined or closed at any time.
- One account per person unless explicitly approved in writing.
2) Billing and Payment Authorization Policy
- Your membership is billed monthly, starting at signup, and renews automatically each month on your billing date until you cancel.
- By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to the payment method on file. Your bank may require card authentication (3-D Secure) at checkout or on a renewal.
- No security deposit is required. Your monthly membership payment is a membership fee, not a deposit, and accrues in full as ownership credit.
- If a renewal payment fails, we retry it per our payment processor's schedule and notify you. While a payment is past due, new reservations and swaps are paused.
- Prices exclude any applicable taxes, which are shown at checkout.
3) Swap and Return Window Policy
- Each tier includes 1 free swap per rolling 90-day period. Additional swaps cost $15 each and are subject to inventory.
- When you request a swap, we send the new piece with a prepaid return label for the current one. The outgoing piece must be returned within 7 days.
- Pieces not returned within 21 days are treated as non-returns (see Loss and Non-Return).
- Repeated late returns or policy abuse can result in account pause or closure.
4) Ownership Credit Policy
- Your Le Fling membership is a monthly subscription with an optional purchase benefit. There is no financing, no minimum purchase, and no penalty for enjoying the jewelry and moving on.
- 100% of every payment accumulates as ownership credit in your account. Credit belongs to you, not to any single piece, and is never reduced by swapping.
- When your accumulated credit meets or exceeds a piece's buyout price, you may claim ownership at no additional cost, or buy out at any time by paying the difference. Members receive 20% off the buyout price of any piece with a retail price over $1,000.
- Buying out is always your choice; you are never obligated to purchase anything. If you cancel, your unused credit stays on your account, does not expire while your account remains open, and is restored in full whenever you reactivate.
- You always know your total cost. It is your monthly membership fee for the months you choose to stay, and every dollar you pay is available as credit toward an optional buyout.
5) Damage and Repair Policy
- Everyday wear is covered, free, on every tier: loose prongs, worn clasps, stretched links, the normal life of a piece that gets worn. We made it, so we fix it, in-house, at no charge.
- Damage beyond everyday wear (lost or cracked stones, broken clasps or settings, bent metalwork) is assessed by our in-house gemologists. Where we charge, we charge our actual repair cost, and your ownership credit is applied against it first.
- No damage charge, including for intentional damage, tampering, unauthorized alterations, or gross negligence, ever exceeds the piece's member buyout price.
- This protection is an internal damage waiver provided by Le Fling, not an insurance policy. There is nothing extra to buy.
6) Loss, Theft, and Non-Return Policy
- Lost or stolen pieces must be reported within 24 hours; for theft, a police report must be filed within 48 hours.
- One cap governs everything here: you can never be charged more than the piece's member buyout price less your available ownership credit. Never the retail sticker. The worst case is that you have simply bought the piece, and ownership transfers to you once the charge clears.
- Pieces not returned within 21 days of a swap request, cancellation, or rental period end are treated as a purchase under the same cap, and the piece becomes yours.
7) Fraud and Enforcement Policy
- Prohibited behavior includes identity fraud, chargeback abuse, returning counterfeit items, reselling or pawning membership pieces, and false theft reporting.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts, block future service, and pursue civil collection remedies.
- Suspected criminal activity may be referred to law enforcement.
8) Shipping and Handling Policy
- Every shipment is tracked, and signature confirmation may be required for high-value packages.
- Pieces are protected and tracked in transit under the internal damage waiver described above, which is not an insurance policy.
- Delivery exceptions must be reported promptly so we can investigate.
9) Cancellation and Account Closure Policy
- You can cancel anytime, online, from the Manage Billing section of your account. No phone call or letter is required.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the monthly period you have already paid for. You keep full benefits until then.
- All pieces must be returned within 7 days of your cancellation effective date. Payments already made are not refunded, and 100% of them remains yours as ownership credit.
- Policy violations can result in immediate closure regardless of membership term.
