The house behind Le Fling

Le Fling is a partnership between two people who met across a jewelry counter.

Bill's family has run Ultimate Diamond on 47th Street since 1959: three generations at the same bench, the kind of house where customers come back twenty years later for the next occasion. Andrew was one of those customers, and a family friend long before that.

From the customer side of the counter, something simple stood out: one of the best jewelers in New York was nearly invisible online. Andrew offered to help with that. It took months before Bill said yes, and the two have been building together ever since. Le Fling grew out of that work, not as a replacement for the house, but as a new door into its safe.

Here is the thing about a diamond: it will look the same in a thousand years. It does not wear out, fade, or go out of fashion. Renting a dress is a compromise and leasing a car is a depreciation schedule, but sharing diamonds is just moving something permanent between people who love wearing it. Once we saw that, the membership designed itself: real pieces from a real safe, and every dollar you pay building credit toward the one you keep, because we want you to end up owning something you love, not renting forever.
